According to a survey by Carzone.ie, today, Monday the 16th of January, is the day on which we're most likely to go out and buy a new car.
This latest Carzone Motoring Report shows that almost half of us (45 per cent) intend to buy a new car this year and based on data from previous years and monitoring traffic visiting the site, Carzone.ie, predicts that today is when we are most likely to consider buying a car.
Commenting Karl Connolly, audience manager Carzone said: "January is traditionally a time of change and as we reach the half way point of January, many of us start looking to upgrade our car. Based on previous years we know that the third Monday of January is the day when people start to think seriously about this and start looking. For those who want to change their car this year, Carzone offers the best selection of new and used cars in Ireland. Whether you are looking for a family saloon, a hybrid car or a car under a certain price point this January, Carzone has a car to suit all tastes and budgets."
According to Carzone, there's also a list of the car's we're most likely to buy, at least if you take the most-searched for car in each segment. In the family hatchback segment it's the Volkswagen Golf, it's the Dacia Duster for those looking for a budget car, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class in the executive saloon class, an Audi A4 for a midsize saloon, the Nissan Qashqai in compact SUVs, a Toyota Avensis for a family saloon, a BMW X5 for a large SUV a Lexus IS 300h for a hybrid and a Nissan Leaf for those seeking an electric car.
