Aston Martin announces special edition Vantage S

Vantage Red Bull Racing Edition available in both V8 S and V12 S guises.

What's the news?

Much has been made of Aston Martin's 'Innovation Partnership' with F1 team Red Bull Racing, the main fruit of which will be the AM-RB 001 hypercar. The British sportscar maker is keen for the collaboration to be celebrated throughout its model range, so that's why we now have the Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition.

Available with either V8 or V12 engines, these special edition cars are mechanically identical to the regular Vantage S, the changes being purely cosmetic. Mariana Blue paint takes inspiration from the hue found on the Red Bull Formula 1 cars and can be specified with a satin finish, while Tungsten Silver is also offered. Carbon fibre is the material of choice for body addenda such as the front splitter and rear diffuser, and the front and side grilles (also carbon) feature red detailing. Yellow brake calipers complete the exterior look.

Inside, carbon features prominently again. The Red Bull Racing logo is embroidered on the headrests, the leather steering wheel has a racing-style 12 o'clock marker and you can choose for either Daniel Ricciardo or Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing's drivers) to sign the sills.

The car is the work of Aston Martin's Q personalisation department, and with the Vantage's replacement due shortly, it's possible that this may be the final flourish for the boisterous coupe.

Deliveries are set to start from April onwards.
