Aston Martin at St Athan factory

Video from Aston Martin showcases the firm’s back catalogue in the surroundings of its new, Welsh factory.

What's the news?

Past and future come together in a new short film by Aston Martin to mark the start of work to turn the company's new St Athan site into a state-of-the-art factory.

Twenty eight cars, worth £65 million, representing 104 years of the marque starred alongside Aston Martin Racing's World Endurance Championship (WEC) drivers, Darren Turner and Nicki Thiim, plus Chief Engineer Matt Becker.

There is plenty of tyre squealing, sideways-driving action around the empty hangars until the 'boss' (Aston Martin CEO, Andy Palmer) turns up and puts a stop to the fun. If you have a favourite Aston it probably features in the video; from the earliest vintage models, via the classic DB models and V8 cars, to the latest supercars and racing machines.

The film also gives a sense of the size of the former MoD site that will become home to Aston Martin DBX production.

You can see for yourself and hear the cars in action in this video.
