What's the news?
Renault has introduced a new used car programme called Renault Selection, which rolls out in Ireland this month.
The new plan involves inspecting and approving used Renault and Dacia models of up to six years old, and giving them a minimum two-year warranty and two years' roadside assistance. (Because Renault cars come with a standard five-year warranty, if the car has two years or more of that to run, it retains the original warranty).
Renault dealerships will also provide a full vehicle history check with every car and will prepare their cars to a unique "Buy Today - Drive Today" standard which, claims Renault, ensures customers receive only the highest-quality product.
There will also be an in-house finance solution for those wishing to buy on credit. Renault Bank will offer a special 4.9 per cent APR interest rate, for either PCP or hire purchase, on all Renault Selection models bought before the 31st of October.
Renault is also going a step further, offering a no-quibble guarantee of a swap for a car of similar value should the Renault Selection model you've purchased develop an unrepairable fault within 30 days or 1,000km of purchase.
Brian Quinlan, Used Vehicle & Business Development Manager at Renault Ireland said: "We are delighted that we have achieved our goal and have now launched Ireland's most customer-centric used car programme. We could see the demand for used Renault & Dacia models growing very quickly so it was important that we presented these used vehicles to potential customers in the same high standards we applied to our new vehicle sales. We have invested a lot of development and research time in Renault Selection because we want to deliver the most customer-focussed used car programme in Ireland."
