Volkswagen donates van to Marie Keating Foundation

Volkswagen Group Ireland donates a second Caddy van to cancer charity to help with its work.

What's the news?

Volkswagen Group Ireland is continuing its four-year (thus far) support of the Marie Keating Foundation, and has donated a second Caddy van to the cancer charity to help with its ongoing work.

Linda Keating, Fundraising Director of Marie Keating Foundation, expressed: "The support we receive from Volkswagen is immeasurable. Since 2013 we have had a Volkswagen Caddy Maxi van which enables us to transport all materials and merchandise to events and seminars, where needed. This year, Volkswagen have gone the extra mile by making available a second Caddy for our Nurses, so now they can reach people in remote areas that our Mobile Units cannot. This is helping us to get our vital message to people on the importance of early detection of cancer, prevention and support following their diagnosis. We cannot thank Volkswagen enough for their support and we hope they realise just how much they are not just supporting the Marie Keating Foundation but also the people of Ireland. For this we are truly grateful".

Commenting on the partnership, Kim Kilduff, Head of Sales and Marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland, said: "The work the Foundation undertakes daily touches the lives of so many people in Ireland. We are delighted to continue our relationship and donate a second Caddy to the Marie Keating Foundation to assist in further development of the Foundation going into 2018. We wish them all the best for the year ahead."
