Nissan launches free trade-up offer

Buy a 181 Nissan now, and trade it for a 191 car completely free of extra costs.

What's the news?

Nissan Ireland is reviving one of its classic marketing tricks, and is putting out an offer that allows buyers to grab themselves a free upgrade to a 191-plate car if they buy a 181-registered Nissan.

Basically, if you buy a Micra, Pulsar, Juke, or Qashqai now, you can trade it in in January 2019 for another, identical, new one for no extra cost. Indeed, even if the prices of those cars rise in the next 12 months, you'll be insulated from that too.

There's also a four-year warranty, four years' RAC roadside recovery, zero per cent PCP finance on a Micra, 3.9 per cent PCP finance on the rest of the Nissan range, and a scrappage allowance of up to €5,500 depending on the model you're trading in against.

According to Nissan, the other benefits of the offer include "a reduction in maintenance costs - it's now two years before customers are likely to have to pay for a service. Customers will have a more valuable and younger car when changing their car again in the future and customers will also have an option to change the colour of their new car after the first year."
