Frank Keane brings Christmas cheer to LauraLynn

Volkswagen Amarok ‘sleigh’ delivers toys and gifts to the kids at LauraLynn Foundation.

What's the news?

Franke Keane's Volkswagen Commercials arm has done a bit of properly Christmassy charitable work. The team at Keane's has taken a Volkswagen Amarok pickup, and converted it to full-on Santa's Sleigh spec, loading it up with presents and toys for the children being cared for by the LauraLynn foundation.

LauraLynn provides a range of services including, symptom management for children; music and play therapy; psychological support; family and sibling camps; short breaks and end of life care. Care can be availed of in the hospice in Leopardstown, at hospital, in the community, or in the family home, depending on the child and family's preference It provides vital bereavement supports to families after they have lost a child. It also undertakes research into the relatively new area of children's palliative care.

Commenting, Claire Shiels from LauraLynn said: "We are thrilled with the support and generosity of Frank Keane Volkswagen. Their gifts will make a significant impact on our Therapeutic programmes for the children here at LauraLynn for 2018. Thank you Frank Keane Volkswagen!"

LauraLynn is a great organisation and our donation is only a small token which we hope contributes towards LauraLynn's cause. We made a commitment a few years ago that we would make an annual donation to charities who make the lives of children better and we are delighted to be here at LauraLynn today."
