Jeep Ireland has chopped the price of its Renegade model by as much as €2,300, and added some more equipment in an effort to stimulate sales.
The base price of the 1.6-litre E-Torq petrol model, in Sport trim, is now €21,950. That includes a uConnect touchscreen infotainment system with five-inch display, Bluetooth phone and audio connection, 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, and steering wheel audio controls. There are also a few tweaks to the interior, with jeep saying that the quality of the materials used has improved, as well as the addition of some new storage bins, and a new location for the USB phone connection port.
There's also a new base 1.6-litre MultiJet diesel, detuned from 120hp to 95hp, available in Sport trim for €23,200.
The next step up the range is Longitude trim, with prices starting from €25,800 for the 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo petrol with 120hp, €26,450 for the 1.6-litre 120hp turbo diesel, and €30,450 for the 2.0-litre 140hp diesel with four-wheel drive.
Longitude spec includes 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, front fog lamps with cornering function, body coloured exterior mirrors, dual zone air conditioning, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality and a new uConnectT 8.4-inch infotainment and navigation system.
Top-spec Limited models get 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated leather multifunction steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, forward collision and lane departure warning, front and rear park distance control, chrome exterior pack featuring chrome front grille, exterior mirrors, exhaust tailpipes and roof rails and a premium seven-inch TFT colour instrument panel. Prices for that start from €28,300 for the 1.4-litre petrol turbo (a €2,300 reduction from before), €28,950 for the 1.6-litre diesel, and €32,950 for the 140hp 2.0-litre diesel.
Jeep is also offering zero per cent hire purchase finance for the Renegade, and 2.9 per cent APR on PCP purchases.
