What's the news?
Are we going to get our first look at the new Toyota Supra at the Geneva Motor Show next month? We certainly hope so and if this image of a 'modern racing concept' is anything to go by, then we could be seeing the Supra sooner rather than later.
That's because the company says this shadowy racing concept due for Switzerland will 'signal Toyota's commitment to bring back to the market its most iconic sports car' - and that can surely only mean the Supra.
We know the Supra is on the way, of course, because Toyota has been signposting it for years. First up was the glorious FT-1 Concept of 2014, which previewed a large performance coupe to sit above the firm's current sporty flagship, the GT86.
Then Toyota bigwigs went on record as saying the 'Supra name is historically important to Toyota', before confirming the company would work with BMW on co-developing the sports car; BMW, for its part, will use the Supra's underpinnings for its latest Z4, so while the Toyota is the coupe, the German vehicle is the roadster.
And the recent GR Super Sports Concept showed that the GRMN performance sub-brand of Toyota, first used on the Yaris, could lead to more models in the near future - a Supra GRMN definitely sounds very interesting...
Anything else?
We'll know more at 9.45am CET (8.45am here) on March 6, when Toyota holds its press conference in Geneva.
