Lexus will unwrap its next executive saloon at the New York Auto Show on 19 April as the LF-Gh concept.
The new GS is not expected until 2012, but the LF-Gh apparently shows a "glimpse into the future of Lexus design". With a close resemblance to the IS saloon, the LF uses hybrid power to show Lexus is again concentrating on this form of power rather than diesel engines to gain economy and reduce emissions.
Longer and wider than the current Lexus GS, the LF-Gh is expected to use a V6 petrol engine coupled to an electric motor.
Lexus is remaining tight-lipped about any other details of the next GS saloon.
