What's the news?
Fiat is expanding its 'Welcome' offers for the 182 registration period, and is now prepared to knock as much as €6,000 off the price of a new car. Now, don't get all excited and assume that this means you can suddenly by a 500 for a 50 per cent discount - that headline grabbing €6,000 figure only applies to the Fiat 124 Spider sports car. Still, if you were fancying such a machine (and hey, it's sunny out) that means you could land a gorgeous Italian sports car (with the promise of Japanese reliability - it's a Mazda MX-5 underneath, more or less) for €27,000. Not bad.
The discounts do get smaller as you move down the price range, but there's still a very significant €4,000 of the price of a Fiat 500X crossover (and that's a very underrated car, well worth a look), €1,400 off the price of a Punto, €1,250 off a Panda, and €1,750 off a 500 or 500L.
If you fancy a Tipo, then Fiat has equalised the price between petrol and diesel models (which means a saving of around €1,750 for diesel buyers) and is offering a further discount of up to €2,500.
Or, if you prefer, you can avail of a 0 per cent finance package (PCP or hire purchase, your call) on selected models from the 500, 500X, and 124 Spider ranges.
Paul Hunt, Managing Director Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles Ireland, commented: "Simplicity and transparency are the key pillars of our 182 offers with a continued focus on providing customers with real value for money. Our Fiat Welcome Bonuses will provide all customers with outstanding cash savings across our entire range, whether you are new to Fiat or a returning customer, whether you have a trade in or not and with no age criteria on the trade-ins that come in."
Those offers apply to orders placed between 26th June and 31st July 2018, with registration by the 31st of July.
