What's the news?
The words 'Dacia' and '€1 million' don't usually go together in the same sentence, but that's the investment that Menapia Motors in Wexford has made in its new showroom. It's the first time in Ireland that the Romania affordable car brand has had its own, standalone, showroom (usually they're attached to a Renault dealership) and it's open from the 6th of December.
The eight-car showroom is just next door to Menapia's existing Renault premises, on the Rosslare Road in Wexford town, and the investment has created five new jobs, in addition to the staff already working for Menapia.
There was a gala opening event on the evening of the 6th, with guests having a first chance to experience the new Dacia showroom, complete with Christmas carols from the Wexford Light Opera Christmas Carollers, festive refreshments and the chance to win a gift card for Meadows & Byrne on the night.
That kicked off three days of special sales and test drive events at Menapia, and anyone who test drives the all-new Dacia Duster during the sales event will also be entered into a draw to win a Meadows & Byrne gift card.
Menapia Motors Dacia is offering 4.9 per cent APR on all orders taken and registered before 31st January 2019 across the Dacia range, including the more rugged and robust Dacia Duster, which customers can get their hands on from €149 a month.
Menapia Motors has been awarded Dacia Dealer of the Year for the last two years consecutively at the Renault Ireland National Dealer Awards. Nearly 20,000 Dacia cars have been sold in Ireland since the brand's arrival here six years ago, including over 10,000 Dusters.
