Ferrari has opened a museum at its Maranello headquarters, called the Universo Ferrari. It threw open its doors for the first time today and it is the first exhibition dedicated to the world of Ferrari at the marque's HQ.
Ferraris old and new
Throughout September, Ferrari will hold a series of exclusive tours of the facility, with the main exhibition in a large structure on the Fiorano test track. Front and centre of the exhibition is the current F1 contender for Scuderia Ferrari in the Italian firm's 90th year, the SF90. Next to this, visitors get to go in the Ferrari Classiche where classic Ferraris are restored and maintained; in here is nothing less than a 1962 250 GTO.
The next room honours the community of being a Ferrari owner: one side is dedicated to the Ferrari lifestyle, with a LaFerrari Aperta on display; while on the other side there's more of a focus on the spirit of competition, so a 2017 FXX-K Evo is the attraction here. There's more motorsport goodness in the form of a 488 GTE, which won its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.
And as if that's not enough, the entire current Ferrari range will be on display to be viewed by guests. This will include the SF90 Stradale, Ferrari's first series-production hybrid supercar. Finally, the Monza SP1 and SP2 models from 2018 close out the exhibition, sitting on a dedicated platform where they overlook the Fiorano circuit - where, throughout the month, guests will be able to see various Fezzas as they are taken on test drives and laps of the track.
