If there was one new supercar you'd think had sufficient oomph to keep owners happy, it would be the Lamborghini Aventador. Oakley Design begs to differ and has come up with a 760hp package for the new Lambo supercar.
Not only has Oakley specced a new ECU electronic brain for the engine, larger airbox and titanium exhaust to free up this power, the tuning outfit also disconnects the four-wheel drive to send all of the power to the rear wheels. Oakley is also looking to boost torque, taking it from the standard Aventador's 690- to 745Nm.
By doing away with the four-wheel drive system, Oakley says it can make significant weight savings, which is what its customers want in the pursuit of performance. A weight saving of 85kg is achieved by removing the front differential and driveshafts.
No performance figures have been released by Oakley, but only five of its tuned Aventadors will be made. Each will come with wider front and rear wheels, the front going from 9.0- to 9.5-inches wide and the rear spreading from 12.0- to 13-inches across.
To help distinguish the Oakley car from the 'hordes' of Aventadors, it has reshaped the front and rear bumpers to help with cooling, added larger side air intakes and a deeper rear diffuser.
Oakley will only talk prices with interested owners, but don't expect it to come cheap.
