Nissan Ireland knocks €5,000 off the price of the big-selling Leaf EV.

Nissan Ireland has knocked €5,000 off the price of a new electric Leaf hatchback in time for the 241 registration plate period that starts in the new year.

270km range

That brings the starting price of a 40kWh Leaf, with a range of 270km and a 150hp electric motor, down to €28,495, making it one of the most affordable electric cars currently on the market. Unlike some similarly-priced rivals, which tend to be much smaller, the Leaf is a full-sized family hatchback with a decent boot.

Zero per cent finance

Nissan Ireland is also offering zero per cent PCP finance, which means you can land a new Leaf on your driveway for as little as €202 a month, with a €13,031 bubble payment at the end of the finance term.

Other special offers

"There has never been a better time to buy a Nissan Leaf to make the switch to electric driving. Nissan are EV experts and the Nissan Leaf price drop and zero per cent finance deal offers real value as well as an opportunity to go green and to become more sustainable,' said Neil O'Sullivan, Sales Director at Nissan Ireland. "The Nissan Leaf is well established as one of Ireland's best-selling EVs because it offers a range of 270 kilometres on a single charge. It is a well spec-ed car with a good-sized boot and spacious interior to meet the needs of any family or business."

It's part of a significant assault by Nissan on the 241-plate market. The brand recently introduced its 2-4-1 offer, allowing buyers to trade their new 241 Nissan in for another new 251 model in a year for no extra cost.
