Dave is the Netherlands today for a birthday party: the Toyota Corolla is turning 60. He’ll also be getting behind the wheel of the 60th Anniversary Irish Edition that has been announced this morning along with some of the previous generations of the Corolla.

Neil has been checking out the first new Audi A2 e-tron in Ireland, resplendent in this gorgeous shade of oh-so-nineties ‘Intense Blue.’ The range stretches to better than 600km depending on the battery and version, and it’s picking up styling cues from the much-loved nineties original. Jaguar has unveiled the first ‘Chromatic Moments’ car at the British Museum's Red Ball, where the Type 01 made its dynamic debut.

Just 60 examples will be produced worldwide, each hand-painted and individually finished with touches including laser-etched signatures. London Red is claimed to be inspired by the city's red-brick buildings, architecture and galleries, while celebrating 90 years of Jaguar.

A second colour, French Ultramarine Blue, takes its cue from artists including Monet and Van Gogh, with a satin-like anodised effect. There's no Irish pricing yet for the Type 01.

The Mercedes-AMG GT SUV is AMG's first-ever SUV not based on an existing Mercedes-Benz product. It's effectively an SUV version of the wild Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door revealed earlier this year and yes, like that car, it's fully electric, employing up to three motors that can put out as much as 1,169hp. Plus ALL THE TORQUE. It charges up nearly as rapidly as it can accelerate, with a DC-charging rate of up to 710kW. Anyway, enjoy this gallery of the car.

In a spectacular reveal event last night, Elon Musk revealed the long-awaited Tesla Roadster and, as he promised, it uses SpaceX technology in the form of cold-air thrusters to allow it perform, frankly, ridiculous manoeuvres, including actual flight. It can also suck itself to the ground for stability and cornering speeds, while hitting 100km/h from rest in about one second. Apparently it goes into production in 2028. "Actually," said Musk at the unveiling. You can go on the Tesla Ireland website now and place a reservation deposit for one of three different versions.

Dave nearly tripped over the diminutive Fiat Multiplina concept at the Paris Motor Show, but it's arguably just as important as the huge Multiplay concept overshadowing it on the stand. The Multiplina is a slightly larger take on the Fiat Topolino EV (that's essentially a restyled Citroen Ami), with four seats and a more attractive exterior. Here's our take on it.
