My Toyota Avensis won't start. What to do?

My 2008 Toyota Avensis diesel has just 75,000 miles on the clock, is fully serviced and running well until a week ago. It now will not start and my mechanic cannot get into the diagnostics to find fault.

What now?

What do you think of six-speed gearboxes?

What is your view on the practicality of six-speed manual cars versus five-speed? On normal national roads - non motorways - six-speed seems to equate to a never ending need to change gear at every bump and bend. Or did I have a bad experience with a particular car?

What's wrong with my Toyota auto gearbox?

My 2013 Toyota Avensis Verso has an auto gear problem. It drives fine when it's cold and the gear change is perfect. Even in reverse it's fine, but it stops moving after two to three minutes driving and reverse won't engage either. What is the problem?

How does the RRP of new cars work?

Hi,

How does the RRP of new cars work? When I look at the Honda.ie website it says RRP for a new CR-V ES at €34,895. When I went to the dealer the price they gave is €36,945.

Can you explain this?

Thanks

What can I do about my faulty i30?

Hi, I am Prince from Wicklow,

I bought a new Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel two months ago. Now the car has an engine noise, abnormal pulling and an air conditioning problem. It was admitted to dealer garrage for repair it twice within two months. That took a week each time, but it is still not perfect.

Now it is running forward without pressing the accelerator in second, third and fourth gear and does not slow down immidiately when going down a gear. And there is also some problem with the auto stop and start system. Plus its fuel economy is only 47mpg.

What should I do? Can I ask my dealer to replace this faulty car, and what are my rights?

Thank you

Prince
