Can I fix my Audi's slow gearbox response?
Hi,
I have a 2019 Audi Q3 35 TDI S tronic and it's a great car, but with an annoying trait, especially in heavy traffic in Galway, Dublin etc. The gearbox is hesitant and dim-witted and changes into second gear in about five metres after take off, even going uphill, which leaves it very lethargic. It seems to hesitate for 1 to 1.5 seconds, which means it's hard to nip into gaps in traffic. Have you heard of any cure or is this a trait of this gearbox?

How do I sort out my imported car?
Hi,
I have imported my car from England. I have been given the VRT exemption. But upon registration, they cannot find my vehicle model and cannot complete the process. Are there any direct contacts so I can query this as I am not expecting to hear from them as they advised?

Which fuel to get for lots of commuting?
Hello,
I have a 1.4-litre 171 hatchback Volkswagen Polo with manual transmission and a diesel engine. I drive approx 100km a day five days a week for work, and the car currently has a mileage of approx 116,000km on the clock. Given that diesel and petrol cars are currently being phased out of the market, what's the best car for me to invest in, going forward given that I drive long distance and also do a lot of driving in cities? Is hybrid or electric the best option for long distance commuting and city driving?

Costs to import a Mustang from the States?
Good day,
I am planning to import a 1966 Ford Mustang from the USA into Ireland. I understand that I would pay a VRT fee based on the emissions of the vehicle, which, according to what I have read, would be 36% of the OMSP value. However, where can I find the market value? Is there any other important fee that I should assume within the import process? I appreciate very much your guidance on this matter as there is very little info regarding this matter.

What will we replace our Passat with?
Hi there I have a query please.
I have a 181 Passat Comfortline with 78,000km on the clock. We are looking to change as we do every two years. We have got varying prices of €15,000 for the Passat and €16,000 for a Tiguan. We are thinking of the SUV route and have also priced the Skoda Karoq, where we were quoted €11,000. We don't think we are willing to pay as dear to stay Volkswagen, but the garage has a 192 demo Tiguan for €11,000 and wondering if that is worth it. Because of high mileage, resale value is a consideration.
Any advice appreciated.
