Should I do this work to my MINI One?

How much would it cost to replace the head gasket and timing chain on a 2008 MINI One 1.4 petrol? And is it worth it?

Is my Ford Focus diesel too cold?

I have a 2009 Ford Focus diesel. The engine malfunction light came on twice today on way to work. It cut out, I lost power steering and the windows would not work either. The car is now parked but it is starting up for me now and the warning light has gone off and all seems fine. What could be the problem please? It is a very cold day here too, maybe the car was cold?

Many thanks, Lucy

Will my car fail its NCT because of this?

Hi,

If the engine management light is on will my car fail its NCT or will they refuse to test the car? I have read online some people saying it will pass and others saying it's a fail, but only on diesal cars. I know in the NCT requirements on dash warning lights it doesn't mention the engine management light.

Is the Volkswagen Polo 1.0 engine up to it?

Hi.

Is the 1.0 MPI 75hp engine sufficient in the new Volkswagen Polo? I currently have a 1.2 65hp 2003 Polo and find it ok, but I'm worried the new engine would struggle on dual carriageways etc.

Thanks very much

Audi Q7, BMW X5 or Toyota Land Cruiser?

Hi,

We are looking at buying a 2007 Audi Q7, BMW X5 or Toyota Land Cruiser with around 60,000/70,000 miles on the clock. We need four-wheel drive and seven seats. Are there any reliability issues with these SUVs? What would you recommend?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks
