Help me choose a commercial vehicle with extra seats.

Hi,

Can you help me choose a van with a second row of seating (for a child seat mainly) and a seperate payload area? I need a diesel vehicle that I can tax as a commerical and something that is not too ugly or uncomfortable. Budget is approximately €5-10,000.

Do Renault Méganes have electronic issues?

Do Renault Méganes have a reputation for electronic problems?

I'm seeing a lot of complaints online about electric window problems and dashboard displays failing and they seem pretty expensive to repair if out of warranty. Has Renault said anything about these being faults? I know there was something in the UK about the dashboard problems. Would be good to know where I stand. I had a problem previously with one window on my old Mégane, but my mechanic repaired free of charge.

How reliable are second-hand Saabs?

I have always loved Saabs. I am now considering buying a used 9-3 or 9-5, maybe a 2007 model or thereabouts. I have heard that some models more than others can be very expensive to maintain, as major things go wrong with them, like the Turbo, etc... Is this true? Is there one model more than another I should look for?

How do I know if my car is due an NCT?

I have a 2007 Opel Corsa. I know I need to get the NCT done this year, but I don't know when it is due or anything.  Friends of mine are saying that they write out to you and let you know; others are saying that you need to ring up. My question is, does the NCT company write to customers who are due an NCT?

Why is there a difference in VW Group finance rates?

Why are SEAT and Skoda able to offer finance at 4.9%, but VW only does 5.9%? All three are provided by the Volkswagen Bank, right?

How much should changing the crank sensor cost?

I arrived at your site when I was looking for information on crankshaft sensors. I have to have the crankshaft sensor replaced on my SEAT Leon TDI FR. The dealer said the gearbox will have to be removed and that the cost will be around £300. Is this correct and a reasonable cost?

Is an Almera loan car acceptable for delayed Qashqai order?

Hi,

I ordered a Nissan Qashqai in December 2010 and was given a delivery date of early February. This was changed to mid/late March last week and the dealer offered a 2007 Almera until the Qashqai is ready. Is this a reasonable offer? Does it go on my insurance policy?
