A question on my Skoda Octavia's fuel economy...

Enjoyed the Skoda Octavia 1.5 Tec auto review. Just curious do you measure real world litres/100km versus official during your time with the car? I can’t see any reference in the piece. Just curious as I purchased one and while long motorway trips deliver 5.0 litres/100km, urban stop-start and suburban traffic means closer to 9.0 litres/100km or 30mpg in old money. Any information appreciated.

Kind regards

Are there EU tariffs on used Chinese imports?

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase an MG ZS electric car in the north and import to the south (Cork). The vehicle I'm looking at is a 2023 52kW version. Vehicle seems to meet all criteria (registered in NI, over six months old, over 6,000km, privately owned), but the dealer said he can’t export MGs because of EU tariffs.

Is this the case with all Chinese brands?

Thanks for your help.

Can I defer my Audi's registration date?

Hi,

My new A3 car arrives in Dublin middle of next week. I asked the dealer to please register the car from February 1st as January is almost gone. The dealer said he had no control over this. He stated that at the time of order they place all your details on the system and as soon as it lands at the dealership it is Audi's process to automatically register the car and pay VRT, VAT etc.

Please let me know if this is the situation.

Is this Audi A6 a good deal?

I'm thinking about a 2007 Audi 2.0-litre TDI SE automatic with only 39,000 miles on the clock and as good as new for £2,500; is this a good deal?
