What's up with my Land Rover's stop-start?
Had my car's stop-start checked by Land Rover when it didn’t operate. They said it was the battery. They fitted a new heavy duty battery and the stop-start worked for about a week... It now only works with fan off. Could this be due the recent heat wave and use of the air conditioning? Very temperamental. Advise if possible.

My car has a sunstrip on the windscreen that was an NCT fail. The fail sheet said obstruction inside wiped area, so if I put on wipers that wipe up to just under the sunstrip will it still pass?

How best to get insurance after 10 years?
I have a full Irish licence, but have not driven in 10 years. However, my licence has no endorsements or bands; what is the best way to get the cheapest insurance or who is the best insurer to explain my case to? Any help would be much appreciated. I'm living in Dublin.

Can child seats touch each other safely?
Hi,
We are currently trying to fit three car seats in the back of a Ford Mondeo; we can fit a rear facing infant seat on a base (belted not ISOFIX), a slim high back booster non harnessed and a forward facing harnessed slim type high back booster. Only issue is they are all touching and whilst I have room to put my hand between the two boosters to buckle and unbuckle my eldest, I have had conflicting advice. Some people say it's not safe for the seats to be touching, others say once you have room to put your hand between to buckle and unbuckle it is safe, but in reality unless I move up to an SUV, any seats you fit three across in a family-sized car are going to touch off one another.
I would love to hear any advice or research to say whether it is safe or not to have them touching (mainly in regards to side car impact).
Thank you

How to get car finance early in my job?
Hi,
I am in employment for the last three months and I have finance approved, but my work company won't sign the paper saying I am not on probation. Just wondering what I should do.

How much VRT on imported Honda Civic?
Hi!
I'm having trouble calculating the VRT due on a car that I'm thinking of buying from Northern Ireland. The VRT Calculator on the ROS website doesn't seem to have the exact spec I'm looking at, although the car is for sale in Ireland too. It's a Honda Civic - five-door hatchback, 1.5-litre petrol engine, manual transmission, 12,000 miles, registered November 2017. If you have any advice that would be great!
Thanks, Katie

Will it cost more to import after Brexit?
Post Brexit 1/11/19, if I am importing a used car from the UK, which I assume is now out of Europe, VRT will of course still apply, but is there going to be VAT and Customs duty applied? For example if I bought a mobile phone from Europe at 100 Euro no problem as it's a member state so no other taxes. If I bought the same phone in Singapore delivered to Ireland it would be subject to customs checks duty etc.
