How much tax do I pay to use this van privately?
I'm planning to buy a van that has been used and taxed as a commercial vehicle, but I will use it as private vehicle. Since it has paid tax for almost a full year do I just pay the difference in price or I'll have to pay the full amount?

Do I need to pay VAT on this CLA import?
I got a 2013 CLA from Newry that arrived before Brexit but wasn’t registered in NI and was sold back to England. I’m unable to get my VRT done as they say I need to pay VAT also. Is there any way around this?

Is VAT on importing on the whole price of the car?
On importing a car from the UK, is the VAT charged on the price paid for the car or just on the value of the 10 per cent custom duty?

When to change my 2018 Octavia TSI's belt?
Hello,
I have a 2018 Skoda Octavia 1.0 TSI with 70,000km on the clock. I was wondering when should I be changing the timing belt. I cannot find anything about this in the user manual.
Thanks

Importing a Defender for work - VAT and VRT?
Looking to import a Land Rover Defender 110 as a commercial vehicle. I have a VAT-registered company and it will be used as a commercial vehicle only. I am trying to establish if VAT can be claimed back and if VRT is payable. It's a 2015/2016 model.

Will I go hybrid instead of diesel?
Hi there,
Since options for new diesel cars are decreasing daily, can conventional hybrids such as the Toyota Corolla and the upcoming Honda Civic be as efficient for long motorway commutes? I would do over 50,000km annually and 75 per cent of that would be motorway.
Ideally my next car would be fully electric, but between the lack of availability, ever increasing purchase cost, electricity unit prices and finance nearly on parity with fossil fuel costs and the fact almost every large battery EV seems to be an SUV, I would need to look at all options.

How to sell our second car safely?
We used to be a two-car household, but COVID has changed that as we both now are working from home. We’ve come to the point where we’re satisfied we could easily get along with just the one car and we’ve made a decision to sell our second car privately.
But how do we do that? We tried selling a car 10 years ago by placing an ad, but all we got was two replies, one really abusive and the other we quickly realised was a scammer. So what options for privately selling are there?

Should I replace my Audi's cambelt again?
Just purchased 2009 Audi Avant 2.0 TDI estate with 90,000 miles on the clock. Service history states cam belt and water pump replaced at 60,000 in 2015. The question I would appreciate being answered is - should I be considering replacing them again bearing in mind the time passed?
Many thanks
