Looking for a replacement engine for my Toyota Verso...
Hi,
Would you be able to confirm if I can use the same engine from a Toyota Avensis, Auris and RAV4? It's 1,598cc and 112hp, I think. I have researched it and I understand it's a modified BMW engine, also used in the MINI Cooper D. Can I use the above models in my search to find a replacement, as my engine is toast?
Thanks in advance
Niall

NOx levy on importing a 2013 Hyundai i30?
Hi,
I'm thinking of importing a 2013 Hyundai i30 with 150,000 miles on the clock. I can calculate the VRT but don't know how to calculate the NOx. How much roughly would the NOx for this roughly cost?
Thanks

Renault Megane E-Tech or Tesla Model 3?
Hi,
I'm planning to change to a new EV. I've narrowed my choice down to two cars - the Megane E-Tech and the new Tesla Model 3. Which in your opinion is the better car, and why?
Many thanks

Should I change to a hybrid car?
Hello there,
I currently commute 50km each way (total 100km per day), five days per week, with half motorway driving and half dual carriageway driving. I am considering a hybrid, but would like some advice if people think this would be a good option as I currently drive a diesel car.
Thanks
Brendan

Should I buy this Golf with no service history?
Hello there,
I am interested in buying a used 2018 VW Golf from a dealership. The dealer is SIMI registered. The car ticks all the boxes, but it does not have a service history. They only have hand written info in the car servicing booklet (no stamps from mechanic/dealership) and there are no receipts. The car has 120k on the clock and the dealer has said they know the previous owner and they replaced the timing belt at 100k, but there is no receipt of this work being done.
Should I avoid the purchase or take the dealership at its word?

Where to complain about a garage?
Might advise me as to where I can put in a complaint about a garage. I have difficulty with repairing my car. The garage has it since June and I've been battling since to get it back. Too long to go into it all here but it was damaged in the garage by an employee, etc, etc.
Thank you.

Can I use the new motor tax system on a commercial?
Hi,
I see that you answered a previous question asking about changing a commercial Kuga to a private vehicle. Your answer was yes but the tax would go by the old cc (engine size) taxation method. Is it possible to change from commercial tax to the newer CO2 system?

Any limit on number of cars I can bring with me from the UK?
My wife and I are moving to Ireland from England and we have two cars with my name on the V5 - though one is my wife's. We were thinking of buying a campervan and taxing and registering it here for the six months before bringing it in without charges. Is there a limit to the amount of vehicles you can bring in? Can't find answer on Revenue website.

Are these items covered under warranty?
I bought a SEAT Ibiza earlier this year.
I had to bring it back to the garage for screeching in the brakes, they replaced the pads but now I am told that the discs are gone; should they not have seen this? Also, are they covered under warranty? Is air conditioning covered under warranty as it turns out the gas is gone on this as well?
