Should I wait to import a 2018 car?
Hi, I have bought a 2018 car in the UK and am wondering would I save a lot on VRT if I wait until the beginning of January to bring it in rather than mid December as the car will be a year older then.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Costs to import a 2012 Kia Soul?
I am considering buying a car with English registration, It is a 2012 Kia Soul 1.6 CRDi 2 five-door automatic diesel with almost 40,000 miles on the clock. I would like to know (1) the cost of Irish registration and (2) what tax band would it come under, and the annual cost of motor tax.
Thank you

Will I avoid the NOx levy if I import now?
Hi,
I'm thinking of importing my 2005 Audi diesel to Ireland to leave at my parents' house. If I do this before 1/1/2020 will I be outside the new NOx levy or will I still have to pay it?

Do I have to pay unpaid VRT on this car?
Hi,
I have a good deal on a car, but it has imported from Northern Ireland in the summer. The seller says he didn't have the money to pay for the VRT etc. at the time of his appointment so never went through with the proper paperwork etc. If I buy the car and the Northern Irish owner writes me a new contract, will I have to pay the overdue charges?

How do I sort out my imported car?
Hi,
I have imported my car from England. I have been given the VRT exemption. But upon registration, they cannot find my vehicle model and cannot complete the process. Are there any direct contacts so I can query this as I am not expecting to hear from them as they advised?

Should I bring my UK car with me to Ireland?
I have just moved over from the UK for a new job for at least two years and was wondering if I should bring my two-year-old car with me or sell it and buy one here on PCP? Will an Irish Bank accept my credit history from the UK or will I have to wait until I build one up here for a number of months?

Costs to import a Mustang from the States?
Good day,
I am planning to import a 1966 Ford Mustang from the USA into Ireland. I understand that I would pay a VRT fee based on the emissions of the vehicle, which, according to what I have read, would be 36% of the OMSP value. However, where can I find the market value? Is there any other important fee that I should assume within the import process? I appreciate very much your guidance on this matter as there is very little info regarding this matter.
Thank you,
Frank Garcia

Do I need to tax a UK car on the way home?
The UK car I want to buy does not have UK road tax and the dealer says I need to buy it to drive on UK roads to get up to Holyhead. You can only buy UK road tax for a minimum of six months, do I need to get it if only driving there for a day?
