Is a diesel Nissan Qashqai a good replacement for our Golf?

Hi we are looking at a Nissan Qashqai 1.5 Visia dCi diesel. I have never had a diesel car and have had very trustworthy Golfs to date. We are not car people but want a change that is not going to break the bank. My main concern is the diesel issue as we are Dublin based.

Hyundai i40 Tourer or Peugeot 5008?

I am looking to change my car and need something with more space. I have looked at and test driven the Hyundai i40 Tourer and the Peugeot 5008. The 5008 has more space, but I am drawn to the i40 as it drives and appears better. Can you enlighten me as to which you feel is the better car?

Should I swap my 5 Series for a BMW X3 or a Merc M-Class?

Hello I need some advice please.

At the moment I own a 2010 new model BMW 5 Series, which I bought new. It's a fantastic car, but my previous car was a Nissan X-Trail and I really miss the high driving position. We have recently had a baby, which means lots of bending with car seats and buggies. We also have a five-year old and elderly parents who sometimes travel with us.

We have decided to trade the 5 Series for a 2.0-litre diesel SUV and have narrowed the choice down to two. My husband likes the new BMW X3, but I am more drawn to the Mercedes-Benz M-Class 2.0, as I don't really like the looks of the X3.

My question is, which of these two do you think would suit us best?

Thanks.

How good is the Volkswagen CrossPolo in windy weather?

How good is the Volkswagen CrossPolo in windy weather? I do a lot of motorway driving and like the look of this car but wonder how sturdy it would be on the open roads in the very windy weather we get.

Thanks

What's the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class like with the smaller engine?

Hi, I would like to know what you think of the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class with the 2.0-litre diesel engine.

I would also like to know if you have heard anything about BMW bringing out a 2.5-litre diesel version of the X5 in 2014. What do you think in general of both SUVs that are available at the moment and which do you prefer?

Thanks for your help.

New BMW Series: 316d with options or 318d?

Good morning,

I'm intending to buy the new BMW 3 Series (F30), but I don’t know if I should go for a 318d 136hp or a 316d 116hp with a better pack of options. I’m a calm driver, but I’m afraid that this difference of power could make a huge difference concerning the comfort. Could you please advise me?

Kind regards, Fernando.

Is it worth paying more for the 110hp Renault Fluence?

Which Renault Fluence to buy - 90- or 110hp?

There is a 700 Euro difference in price, just wondering if it's worth it or not. On the face of it the vast bulk of Fluences are 90hp, just wondering is the 110hp model a better buy, even for resale later, as it will be a lot rarer. Also, two unconnected Renault dealers are pushing much harder on the 90hp version, which says to me that the 110hp is like a special order for them. They are almost dismissing it as an option, which is odd, or maybe they are looking after me!

Is there any servicing/maintenance differences between the two different engine types? One last thing, problems with DPF, apparently it's a problem if you only drive a diesel car on solely short journeys. Is it a major issue or storm in a teacup?

Thanks
