1949-1950 Packards - any difference?

What is the difference between a 1949 Packard and a 1950 Packard?

Hi Sam,

Actually there was very little difference between 1949 and 1959 model year Packards because the entire range had been updated in 1947 when more chrome and an egg-crate grille were added and the famous Clipper name was dropped. The familiar (and very powerful for its day - no wonder it was so popular with the California Highway Patrol) 160hp straight-eight engine was retained and there were no more significant changes until 1951 when the Super Eight model was finally retired.
