Renault gives Irish customers their VAT back

As much as a €1,500 VAT rebate on Renaults bought in March.

With the Irish Government putting the standard rate of VAT back up to 23 per cent (from a discounted 21 per cent) this month, Renault is going to give Irish car buyers back the difference in their VAT - plus a little more...

Offers available until the end of March

That's assuming you buy a new Renault, with a petrol or diesel engine, before March 31st. The Renault VAT-Back And More offer could nab you as much as a €1,500 saving compared to the standard VAT-inclusive price. You can get that maximum €1,500 VAT-Back if you buy a new Koleos SUV, Kadjar crossover, or Scenic MPV in March. Go for a new Megane, and you'll get €1,250 VAT-Back, while there's €1,000 back if you decide on a Clio or Captur.

Reduced PCP rates

Renault has previously announced that it's offering reduced PCP payments for those whos annual mileages have fallen because of the COVID lockdowns, and so now, for example, if you were to buy a new Clio on Renault's 'Drive Less, Pay Less' offer, you'd get €1,000 VAT-Back, a 3.9 per cent PCP plan with repayments from €130 per month, and the option to defer repayments for three months with no penalty.

€1,000 off electric and hybrid models

Renault is also keeping its 'green' offerings going on its line-up of electric and hybrid models. For instance, in March, you can buy a new all-electric Zoe hatchback with a zero per cent PCP finance plan (which Renault claims can save you €3,000 over the life of the plan compared to other finance packages), a €1,000 'Green Bonus' discount, and that option of three months deferred payments.

The new Clio Hybrid, Megane E-Tech plug-in hybrid, and Captur E-Tech plug-in hybrid all also come with the €1,000 'Green Bonus', 3.9 per cent PCP plan, and three months deferral.

Across the showroom floor, there's the Renault van range with low-rate PCP offers, plus a five-year warranty and roadside assistance, and over at Dacia, the high-spec Duster Prestige model can be had on a zero per cent HP plan, while the new Sandero and Sandero Stepway have a 4.9 per cent PCP offer.
