Honda has released a video of its CR-Z Mugen project and you can hear the 200hp hybrid in full flow. Due for its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the CR-Z Mugen is billed as a one-off show car for the moment, but rumours are spreading that Honda will sell a limited number of this lightweight sports coupé.
Tuning firm Mugen has stripped 50kg from the weight of the CR-Z and added its own upgrade kit to the 1.5-litre petrol engine, which, with the help of the electric motor, produces 200hp. No performance figures have been released, but the CR-Z Mugen sounds great in the video.
Also apparent in the video is the level of detail finish in the CR-Z Mugen. From the Mugen badges on the spoilers to the carbon fibre bonnet this car appears to have been built to a very high standard. Inside, there are extra dials and Recaro sports seats.
