Only 600 of the first US customers for Volkswagen's new Beetle will be able to get their hands on the Black Turbo Edition.
The limited run model comes with a 2.0-litre TSI turbo engine with 200hp, though VW has not confirmed performance figures for the car as yet.
All Black Turbo Edition Beetles will come finished in jet black paint with polished 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, larger brakes with red-painted brake callipers and a rear spoiler. They will also have Bluetooth connection, MP3 connector, three-colour ambient interior lighting, sport seats and alloy foot pedals.
The price for this USA-only model is $25,720 (about €18,000), while Irish customers will get their hands on the first new generation VW Beetles from 2012.
