Red Bull adds second date for Belfast Car Park Drift.

A second date has been added for the Red Bull Car Park Drift event in Belfast. The double-header will take place on 20 and 21 November at the city's Titanic Quarter. It is the first of the 2022 qualifiers that will see more than 20 top amateur drifters tackle a technical track in the shadows of the famous Harland & Wolff shipyard.

Taking inspiration from the drift scene in Hong Kong where drivers would navigate within the tight confines of multi-storey car parks, the Red Bull Car Park Drift puts competitors against each other in obstacle-strewn courses before ending each run in 'the box', where each driver has to drift and doughnut in a tiny enclosure.

For every object hit, spin or drift in the wrong direction, drivers will lose points with a three strikes and you're out approach. A panel of four expert judges will score the competitors our of 400 points.

The top 20 amateur drivers from the Irish Drift Championship have automatically qualified for the event with Red Bull offering Wildcard entries to ten promising drivers. The top 20 drivers will compete on Saturday, with the top 10 from the day qualifying for Sunday where they will meet the Wildcard drivers for a Heat, Top 8 and Final 4 battle.
