New Jaguar Ireland warranty runs to 150,000km.

Jaguar Ireland is expanding its new car warranty from three years to five years and is bumping up the maximum mileage that it covers to 150,000km.

A bold move

That's a bold move from a brand that many people still consider to be less reliable than its German peers, and is almost a match for Hyundai's famed five-year warranty (although Hyundai does offer unlimited mileage). Certainly, none of Jaguar's premium-badged rivals offer anything like it.

Private and fleet buyers

On top of that, there's Jaguar's InControl smartphone remote, which allows you to see when your vehicle has developed a problem or when it needs a service, or to easily call for roadside assistance should the worst occur. The new warranty will be offered to both private buyers and fleet customers, and the company expects it to have a positive impact on Jaguar's resale values, which in turn may help the brand to eventually offer more competitive PCP deals.

Cost certainty

Eddie Kavanagh, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Ireland said: "The prolonged new car warranty shows the confidence in quality and reliability in Jaguar Cars and has the potential to uplift Jaguar's residual values by up to two per cent. Moreover, there will be customer benefits in assurance of cost certainty and predictability through reduced follow up cost because all or at least most of the potential parts are covered."

Dmitry Kolchanov, Jaguar Land Rover Regional Director Europe, says: "With the introduction of a new five-year warranty for Jaguar across Europe, we further demonstrate our commitment to the quality and reliability of our products and our focus on customer service excellence. Our future vision of modern luxury is entirely customer centric, and this should mean peace of mind for anyone considering a Jaguar."
