The final production model will arrive in 2026.

Electric car newcomer Aehra has previewed its upcoming 'ultra-premium' saloon ahead of an official unveiling at the Milano Monza Motor Show onJune 16.

Since unveiling an electric SUV last year, Aehra has sought to expand its line-up and released several teaser images of its next offering.

The design

According to Aehra, its new saloon "follows swiftly in the wheel tracks of the Aehra SUV unveiled last year, and the images depict a vehicle with exquisitely beautiful flowing lines and exceptionally strong organic, muscular proportions."

The new car features an "almost liquid-like" side profile and a tapered rear - Aehra says that its styling cues would "typically be the preserve of a supercar show vehicle."

The company has promised that the model - to be unveiled later this month - will be identical to the car that will begin production in 2026, with its head of design, Filippo Perini, saying: "At Aehra, we do not believe in creating unrepresentative concept cars."

The forthcoming saloon will share a platform with the SUV and is constructed using a 'flat EV architecture' system, allowing for more design freedom.

The tech

Aehra's model range will be exclusively electric, and its CEO Hazim Nada has said that his company's cars "will usher in a new era of ultra-premium, exquisitely beautiful emission-free mobility."

"Engineered and manufactured using only the very best technology, materials and methodologies the global automotive industry has to offer, both the Aehra SUV and Aehra Sedan are driven by a purity of function," he added.

The Aehra SUV showcased a range of technology, such as a touchscreen spanning the entire length of the dashboard and an additional digital readout on the steering wheel. The saloon is expected to follow in the SUV's footsteps in that regard.

Aehra - the company

Headquartered in Milan, the company plans to expand its presence into North America, Europe, China and the Gulf States by 2026.

Its management has set bold targets for its future - with Aehra planning to have sold more than 15,000 SUVs and a further 15,000 saloons after a year of sale.

The cars will be sold through a specialised dealer network, known as 'Salons', where Nada says that customers "will be able to view, touch and test drive our cars in high end surroundings."

"Our entire design is focused on the customer experience," he said in an interview with Forbes.
