BYD opens two more Irish dealers

BYD links up with Bolands Group to open two new dealerships in Waterford and Wexford.

Motor Distributors Limited (better known to us all as MDL), Ireland's BYD importer, has announced that two more dealers are taking on a franchise for the Chinese electric car brand.

Waterford and Enniscorthy

Both new dealers are part of the Bolands group, one of Ireland's biggest car dealer groups and a serious player in the country's south-east. The two new dealerships are located on the Inner Ring Road in Waterford and Enniscorthy and will operate under the names BYD Waterford and BYD Wexford, respectively.

Highly specified and competitively priced

Having two new dealerships - especially part of such a respected dealer group - in an area of the country where BYD hasn't yet been represented will, according to MDL: "Create an even stronger presence for BYD in areas of the country where the three highly-specified and competitively-priced BYD models - Atto 3, Dolphin and Seal - will have a strong customer appeal."

Prices below €30,000

The BYD range is expanding fast right now, as alongside the Atto 3 crossover, which has already carved out a distinct niche for itself, the Dolphin hatchback - which will crucially have prices starting just below the €30,000 mark - is arriving now, and we're only weeks away from the arrival of the low and sleek Seal saloon.

Commenting, Bolands directors, Waterford-based Anthony and Enniscorthy-based Diarmaid Boland said: "We welcome our appointment and the opportunity it brings to offer customers in Wexford and Waterford the chance to share in the value and enjoyment of EV motoring that BYD has brought to Ireland with their award-winning Atto 3, in their all-new Dolphin, and in their stunning new Seal all of which will be available to view in our showrooms."
