Micras and Qashqais might be Nissan's bread and butter, but somewhere in the skunk-works department lurks some dastardly thinking. How else would this anticipated GTR/Juke mash-up have been conceived? The crossover-cum-supermini Juke has been mixed up with the no-respecter-of-reputations GTR to create this one-off - allegedly dubbed 'Super Juke' by insiders.
Underneath the Super Juke's chunky, aerodynamically enhanced body lies the DNA of Nissan's Godzilla. Power comes from the GTR's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, good for 480hp and a 0-100km/h time of under four seconds. All that grunt is transmitted to the road by a modified version of the GTR's complex four-wheel drive system and revised suspension.
Currently a one-off study it's anticipated that Nissan will green light producing a proper runner as a technical can do and promotional vehicle. It's unlikely it'll reach series production though, however much we like the sound of it.
