Peugeot Ireland, part of Gowan Auto, has confirmed that it's going to renew its sponsorship of the Pop Up Race series for 2024.
From 5k to half-marathon
The series, which kicks off in Portlaoise on the 17th of March with the Streets of Portlaoise 5k, will encompass running races ranging from five kilometres to a half-marathon. The series aims to "encourage individuals to embrace an active lifestyle and participate in community activities."
The series includes a team prize worth up to €18,000, while the overall prize for the series is €6,000 plus €9,000 in course record bonuses.
Races all around Ireland
After Portlaoise, the series moves to Kilkenny for another five-kilometre race on the 28th of March and then to Enfield on the 14th of May for the Bob Heffernan and Mary Hanley 5k. On the 19th of May, there's the Aisling Murphy Memorial Four Mile in Tullamore, and that's followed by the Dunshaughlin 10k on the 22nd of June. The Roscommon Ten Mile race takes place on the 29th of June, followed by the Edenderry Ten Mile on the 21st of July, and the Cork City Ten Mile on the 18th of August. Finally, the series ends on the 15th of September with the Charleville International Half Marathon.
