GoCar, the largest of Ireland's car-sharing and instant hire providers, has just announced that it's adding ten Volkswagen e-Ups to its nationwide fleet.
253km range from a small battery
The e-Up is one of the most affordable and efficient current electric cars, offering a 253km range from a 32kWh battery and a kerb weight of just 1,200kg. It is also one of the most affordable electric cars you can buy, with a starting price of just €19,995 - although, of course, the whole point of signing up for GoCar is that you swerve concerns such as starting prices, insurance, motor tax, servicing bills, and so on...
Available from just €10 per hour
The GoCar e-Ups will be available to use with rates starting from €10 per hour, and they'll come well-equipped too - a rearview camera, park distance control and cruise control are all fitted. They'll be available at GoCar locations in Dublin and Ireland, including Merrion Square, Raheny, Skerries, Wicklow and Tipperary.
