Volkswagen has launched a new line-up of finance packages for its model range in Ireland, centred especially on the just-arrived new Tiguan, the updated Golf, and the ID.7 electric saloon.
0 per cent HP finance
The new packages are built around a 2.9 per cent interest rate for PCP buyers and a 0 per cent rate for Hire Purchase customers. Both of those are available for the ID.7, for example, which comes with a price tag of €56,490 after grants and a range of up to 615km on a full charge of its 77kWh battery (with a bigger-battery 83kWh model on the way). The ID.7 has already picked up awards, including the German Car of the Year and a 2024 What Car? Safety Award.
Updated Golf
The updated Volkswagen Golf arrives shortly, just as the model celebrates its 50th birthday. It will arrive in Ireland with a well-equipped limited-run Golf 50 Edition version, which includes an illuminated Volkswagen badge, upgraded 18-inch alloys, bespoke Golf 50 scuff plates, metallic paint, tinted rear windows, ArtVelour seats with heating, and an upgraded 12.9-inch infotainment system as standard. VW Ireland says that the Golf 50 Edition has €3,300 worth of extra equipment for a cost of less than €500 compared to a standard Golf Style model. It will get the 2.9 per cent PCP and 0 per cent HP packages too with prices starting from €32,680 for the Golf Life and €32,880 for the Golf 50 Edition.
New Tiguan
Just arriving this week in Ireland is the new Tiguan, which for the moment comes with diesel power but will shortly gain a plug-in hybrid version which uses a 19kWh battery that’s good for a claimed 116km of electric range on a full charge. The Tiguan is new from the chassis-up, and includes what VW calls an: “upgraded interior and premium-class features such as the massage function of the ergoActive seats and IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights available as optional extras.” It’s priced from €54,250.
700km range
Volkswagen Ireland is also keeping is 0 per cent finance offer in place for the electric ID.3 hatchback, while you can have the 2.9 per cent offer if you’re buying an ID.4, ID.5, or ID.7. That 83 kWh ID.7 (which can go for a claimed 700km on one charge) will be joined later this year by a sporty IDX version, with four-wheel drive and more power.
Volkswagen Ireland Director, Alan Bateson, said: “It is an exciting time for Volkswagen Passenger Cars here in Ireland. We have our best product line-up in years and are offering ultra-competitive finance packages to bring Volkswagen ownership to as many people as possible. Whether you want to go fully electric, hybrid, or drive one of our fuel-efficient petrol or diesel-powered vehicles, our 2024 line-up ensures there is a Volkswagen for everyone.”
