The Bumblebee 1000 supercar event is returning from the 14th to the 16th of June, and will be showing off some of the finest and fastest cars around Ireland.

Raising funds

This year’s event is, as ever, a charity fundraiser, and it’ll be raising money for the Little Blue Heroes charity. Little Blue Heroes is a charity dedicated to supporting families in need who have seriously ill children undergoing long-term medical treatment. By making these children honorary members of An Garda Síochána, we aim to bring moments of happiness and strength to their lives.

This year the event has a ‘Fast & Furious’ theme (so expect plenty of shaved heads, white vests, and gravel-voiced mentions of ‘Family…’) and as ever will feature some of the finest super- and luxury cars in the world, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, BMW, Bentley, Porsche, and - given the whole Fast & Furious thing - some Nissan GTRs, too.

Multiple stops

The Guards are actually an integral part of the event, escorting the supercar convoy around the country, including multiple stops in three provinces, not to mention making sure no-one lets the whole Fast & Furious thing go to their heads…

Show your support

“This event wouldn't be possible without the incredible generosity of the public, our sponsors, our volunteers, and of course, An Garda Síochána. We are immensely grateful for all this support, which enables The Little Blue Heroes to continue their mission of bringing joy and support to children who are facing serious illness,” said the Bumblebee 1000 organisers. “We invite everyone to come out and show their support as we travel through Ireland, spreading smiles and raising vital funds for this amazing charity.”

The Bumblebee 1000 will start from Barberstown House, near Kildare, on the morning of Friday the 14th, and will head to Enfield, Kinnegad, Kilronan Castle, and Ballure before overnighting in Belmullet.

From there, the convoy will spend Saturday heading to Ballindine, Galway, Loughrea, and finishing up in Limerick City. Finally, on Sunday, the cars will head through Portlaoise and back to a finish line at Kinnegad.
