Driveyou has officially launched its car- and van-sharing service in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick, although the company has been operating in Ireland for over a year and now has over 140 pickup locations nationwide.
Driveyou provides vehicle rental options with the aim of improving urban travel across Ireland. The service allows users to rent cars and vans by the hour or day, meeting various needs such as daily commutes, shopping trips, business activities and weekend getaways.
The Driveyou app allows users to book a vehicle, manage reservations and contact customer support 24 hours a day. The company partners with Hyundai Cars Ireland and has more than 200 vehicles in its fleet, everything from Hyundai compact cars to Hyundai Staria vans. It also offers low-emission vehicles and is expanding its electric vehicle fleet.
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Daithí de Róiste, said that the launch adds competition to Dublin's car-sharing market, benefiting users: “Car sharing in Dublin City has already become more competitive with the introduction of the Driveyou car sharing service. This is good news for shared mobility users in Dublin and areas Driveyou are now actively operating in.”
Robert Montgomery, Commercial Operations Manager of Driveyou, said: “We are thrilled to bring our car and van sharing service to these cities in Ireland. Our goal is to provide the best value, reliable, convenient and sustainable transportation option that enhances urban mobility and supports the dynamic lifestyles of our users.”
