Peugeot has announced that it will be integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology, specifically ChatGPT, across its entire range of vehicles. This follows a successful pilot phase earlier this year, which involved over 10,000 customers.
The ChatGPT functionality will be a standard feature in Peugeot models equipped with voice command capabilities. This includes new versions of the 208, 2008, 308, 308 SW, 408, 508, 508 SW, Rifter, Traveller, Partner, Expert, and Raveller, with the new 3008 and 5008 to follow later this year.
The AI, developed by OpenAI and integrated into the Peugeot i-Cockpit, is activated via the voice assistant with the command "OK Peugeot”. It can answer questions, provide detailed information on various topics, and offer a range of practical and entertaining services. This feature will be available in 17 markets across Europe in 12 different languages.
From now, customers in Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and the United Kingdom can access ChatGPT in new vehicles and as an over-the-air update for existing models. By the end of July, the service will extend to Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
ChatGPT is part of the Connect Plus pack, included in the vehicle's price for the first six months from the warranty start date. After that, it will be available by subscription at a rate of €12 per month or €120 per year. Existing customers can add ChatGPT for €1.5 per month or €15 per year.
