The Irish Motoring Writers Association (IMWA) has today (November 2) announced the ten cars shortlisted for the 2012 Continental Irish Car of the Year. The overall winner, plus the various category winners, will be revealed in the Convention Centre in Dublin on November 17.
The shortlisted models are as follows (in alphabetical order):
Ford C-MAX
Ford Focus
Honda CR-Z
Hyundai i40
Kia Picanto
Kia Rio
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé
Mercedes-Benz SLK
Peugeot 508
Range Rover Evoque
These cars were chosen by the IMWA from a total of 46 eligible models.
"This year's shortlist of 10 includes some great models with a mix of exciting new versions of established nameplates and some totally new cracking car concepts," said Paddy Murphy of Continental Tyres Ireland.
