New Renault 4 E-Tech unveiled alongside electric caravan, plane, motorbike and water bike.

Renault unveiled its new 4 E-Tech electric at the Paris motor show ahead of its market launch in 2025. As part of the reveal, Renault partnered with four French start-ups to create innovative electric mobility solutions across different transport types, offering a glimpse into the future of e-mobility.

Collaborating with French start-ups

Renault's "4 movements" initiative, developed in collaboration with four start-ups, aims to highlight the versatility of the new electric Renault 4 and show the expansion of e-mobility beyond traditional cars. The "four means of e-mobility for use in all four seasons" are a mini-caravan, e-plane, e-motorbike and water e-bike. According to Renault, these vehicles align with the carmaker's commitment to sustainable transportation and innovative mobility solutions, and the collaborations reflect its broader ambition to support the development of eco-friendly mobility.

E-Mobility innovations

The four start-ups in the initiative developed electric vehicles to inspire people to "dream of adventures on land, sea and in the air."

Aura Aero: A Toulouse-based start-up that developed the Integral E, a two-seat electric plane. The plane has a wingspan of 8.78 meters and offers an eco-sustainable flying experience with a one-hour endurance and a battery charging time of under 30 minutes.

Carapate Aventure: This Nantes-based company created a mini-caravan that is lightweight and easy to tow, featuring a retro design. Weighing only 560kg, the caravan is claimed to have a comfortable bed, along with an indoor-outdoor kitchen and is designed to be easy to set up.

Ateliers Heritage Bike: This Annecy-based company produces high-end electric motorbikes and bicycles. Its Heritage Spirit Scrambler motorbike, inspired by the 1980s design, has a 7kW motor and a battery that offers a range of 110km.

Searider: Based in the Alpes-Maritimes region, Searider developed the Seacruiser, a water e-bike that moves at up to 55km/h. Equipped with two 22kW electric motors, it provides a 90-minute runtime, making it suitable for novice and experienced water sports enthusiasts.

A sneak peek into future mobility

Visitors to Renault's "4 movements" stand at the Paris motor show can explore the Renault 4 E-Tech alongside the other electric vehicles. These new mobility solutions will be available for pre-order in spring 2025, with the Renault 4 E-Tech expected to arrive in Ireland mid-2025.
