Audi Ireland has just released pricing and specification details for the Audi A1 Sportback. Scheduled to arrive at the end of February the five-door premium supermini will start at €19,910 (ex-works) for the entry level model powered by an 85hp 1.2-litre TFSI petrol engine.
Audi expects the majority of buyers to go for this model or the 90hp 1.6-litre TDI that uses just 3.8 litres/100km with emissions of 99g/km. Diesel customers can also opt for a 105hp version of the 1.6 TDI engine or a 2.0-litre, 143hp unit that will arrive in the summer. Those who prefer their cars to be petrol powered can upgrade to the 1.4-litre TFSI engine that offers power outputs of either 125- or 185hp.
Entry level models come equipped with alloy wheels, air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, ESP with axle lock differential, remote central locking, a CD player and electric mirrors. Sport and S line trim will be available from launch with Sport models gaining larger alloy wheels, sports suspension, sports seats, leather covered steering wheel and a driver's information system. Range topping S line versions come with S line 17-inch alloy wheels, S line sports suspension, Xenon lights and leather and sprint cloth combination upholstery.
