If you have had your eye on a new Porsche 911 but were worried about the processes involved importing one from the UK then fear no more. The Porsche Service Centre in Dublin, the only approved centre of its type in the Republic of Ireland, has just been upgraded to a full Porsche Centre and will be offering sales facilities for the German marque's 2012 model line-up.
The new Porsche Centre is an expansion of the Joe Duffy Motor Group run outlet located just off exit 16 of the M50 at Rochestown Avenue, Dun Laoghaire. The appointment by Porsche GB is supported by local customer demand for new Porsche models and represents a sign of growth in an industry segment thought dead since the passing of the Celtic Tiger.
With recent updates to the Porsche range the announcement could not come at a better time. The new 991-generation 911 is on sale now, priced from €123,228 for the Carrera and will be followed in March by the Cabriolet variant, which will start at €137,884 for the 350hp 3.4-litre Carrera.
The latest Boxster is set to arrive later in spring with prices starting from €64,489. The Porsche range also features the mid-engined Cayman coupé, priced from €67,620; the all-wheel drive Cayenne, priced from €76,062; and the Panamera, priced from €101,414.
