Peugeot supports 'Ride Out for Prems' charity

Peugeot vehicles to provide support for Irish Premature Babies charity ride.

Peugeot Ireland has announced that it will support the Irish Premature Babies' 'Ride Out for Prems 2012', a charity event taking place this April to raise funds for baby intensive care units across the country.  The annual event will take place from April 26 to 29 and will see a group of motorcyclists, led by a convoy of Peugeot cars and a van, travelling around Ireland delivering equipment to hospitals in Louth, Cavan, Donegal, Sligo, Galway, Kerry, Limerick, Laois and Dublin.

Emma Toner, Peugeot Communications Manager said, "Irish Premature Babies is a fantastic charity that offers a huge support network to parents with premature babies. Peugeot is delighted to be of assistance to the Ride Out for Prems 2012 event and has offered the use of four Peugeot cars and a Boxer Van to the cause."

Over 30 bikers have already signed up, including members of the Garda Siochana and parents of premature babies, with each participant required to raise at least €1,000 for the charity.

Every year in Ireland, 4,500 babies are born prematurely and tragically up to 500 die each year as a result of their early arrival. Baby intensive care units across the country desperately need funds to buy incubators, heart monitors, ventilation, cpap equipment and apnea monitors.
