Hot new Maserati for Geneva

Maserati will bring along an updated GranTurismo to the Geneva Motor Show - called the Sport.

Maserati has released details of the refreshed Gran Turismo Sport that will debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

For 2012 the sleek coupé gets a restyled front bumper that optimises airflow for both the engine and the braking system. The headlights have also been redesigned and now incorporate LED daytime running lights, while out back darker, more aggressive, taillights have been fitted.

Maserati says it has significantly redesigned the front and rear seats and added a new steering wheel, but unfortunately neglected to issue any pictures of them.

Changes are not just cosmetic though as the 4.7-litre V8 engine under the bonnet has been fettled to boost power from 433- to 460hp.

We expect more details on the new Maserati GranTurismo Sport, including the price, to appear before the Geneva show in March.
