The all-electric Renault Fluence Z.E. has arrived in Ireland and is now available to test drive and purchase at Renault dealerships around the country. The 100 per cent electric version of the popular Fluence saloon is the second in Renault's four-pronged electric vehicle line-up and will retail from €21,610 in Expression trim or €22,710 for the Dynamique - thanks in part to the Government incentive of €5,000.
These prices are comparable with those of the diesel Fluence and Renault reckons that over three years at 15,000km per year, savings should be in the region of €2,500, even after the battery rental, which starts at €82 per month, is taken into consideration.
"Fluence took Ireland by storm when it arrived in April 2010 and proved very popular with the saloon loving Irish customer. Two years later Fluence ZE has arrived, the ideal saloon for the low mileage driver, who wants to save money and be environmentally responsible," said Eric Basset, Managing Director of Renault Ireland.
"We have a great Irish Z.E. team including nine EV ambassadors who are experts in electric vehicle technology, after sales, and customer care. Our strategy from day one was to make electric vehicles affordable to all and we are standing by this by bringing the Fluence Z.E. to the Irish customer from €21,610, a price that cannot be matched by our competitors".
