Jaguar has revealed its most luxurious car ever - the new XJ Ultimate limited edition. Based on the already exclusive long wheelbase XJ model the Ultimate is strictly a four seater with the rear bench binned in favour of two separate bespoke seats with a champagne cooler and aluminium table housed between.
Rear occupants also get a pair of iPads with wireless keyboards that are stored in custom leather trimmed docks in the rear of the front seats. The headrests are also fitted with extra screens while the entire car benefits from a 20-speaker surround sound system, designed specifically for the car by high-end audio specialists Meridian.
The XJ Ultimate will be the first Jaguar to feature a new supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that will eventually replace the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 of old. The engine joins the supercharged 5.0-litre petrol and 3.0-litre V6 diesel in the XJ line-up with talk of the Evoque's 340hp turbocharged four-cylinder also being considered.
