Audi invests €80 million in Irish network

An €80 million investment and the creation of 260 jobs is part of Audi's plan to provide 'world class' service to Irish motorists.

Audi has announced that it will, over the next 18 months, invest €80 million in its Irish dealer network.  The programme forms part of a worldwide project for the Audi group.

Rolling out state-of-the-art facilities is said to be well underway.  Around 260 jobs will be created directly and supporting industries should also see an increase in employment as a result of the changes.  The managing director of Audi Ireland, Andrew Doyle said, "This investment will ensure we provide state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional customer service that is expected of a number one premium marque."

The first new 'Audi Terminal' was unveiled last December when Audi Sligo opened officially.  In June the next Terminal, Audi North Dublin, will open - followed by Audi Waterford in July.

Dublin-based firm EMD architects are responsible for the new facilities, which should all be completed by 2013.
